Networking Lunch at the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, offered a touching event to commemorate the special diplomatic and trading relations between our two countries.
Members and friends of our Spanish-Thai Chamber of Commerce where invited as well as other personalities related to the occasion.
Our President, Mr José Sánchez, together with the Spanish Ambassador, Mr Emilio de Miguel, and the Counsellor at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy, Mr Luis López, took part on the seminar prior to the networking lunch at the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn.
Before that, the three finalists – from different Thai Universities – for the Speech Competition titled “¿Cómo podemos fortalecer las relaciones de amistad entre Tailandia y España?” (How can we strengthen the friendly relations between Thailand and Spain?) delivered their speeches to the audience in a perfect Spanish and .Later on, the winner was announced.
After this, moderated by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of the International Studies Centre (ISC), we had the insight on different related subjects presented by Dr. Piemsak Hongjamrassilp, History Professor at Thammasat University, about the history of Thai-Spanish relations, Dr. Sukij Poopuang, Professor at the Spanish Section of Chulalongkorn University, on cultural cooperation between Thailand and Spain, Professor Dr. Somchai Phagaphasvivat on Spain in international arena and Ms. Nilobol Pimdee, Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared her experience having studied in Spain.
We could later also enjoy the presentations of two of our valued members under the topic of the EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor), Mr Carlos Romero for Amadeus and Mr Angel Burgos for Indra.
